I would LOVE a survival mode. I feel like right when I'm getting into the groove of things, the game ends. It leaves me wanting longer matches because it's so fun.

The phoenix is great for any situation you could possibly find yourself in. Max it out and it kills almost every normal enemy the opposition has out, all in one fell swoop.

if you need an early 1500 xp boost there's an easy way to get it fast. Go to a triple xp endurance level and use all of your mana to buy lv1 gems. Throw them all into anger modifiers on the waves and call them all. Repeat until you die. You'll get 500 points in bonuses multiplied by 3 for 1500 points in less than 2 minutes.
