For now, some brief info about Alymer:

Alymer Hildegarde is a paladin of the church of Ironcrest, a large city in the cold and snowy province of Bergen. He is currently 37 years of age and is 6’8" tall. One of his defining characteristics is a tattoo on the back of his right hand of a scale and sword, which he earned as a result of his years of training. It cannot be forged or falsified, and only those with the true spirit of a paladin may wear this symbol.

Alymer’s training extended over the length of 20 years. He joined the church at age 5, when his parents and younger brother were met with untimely fates. He is a master of the sword and shield, and competent with most other weapons.

His sword, Retribution, was specially forged to fit him at the end of his training. It is a 4-foot broadsword with an ornate handle in the shape of a scale. Retribution is crafted of a solid silver-steel alloy, which retains the strength of steel, but allows the sword to negate any regenerative properties of undead creatures it injures. It functions as a normal steel sword against normal humans.

Due to several enchantments placed upon it, Retribution will never dull, chip, break, rust, corrode, or decay.

His shield, Redemption, is absolutely 100% indestructible. It cannot be broken or penetrated, but it can be separated from Alymer. Otherwise, it functions as a normal heater-type shield. Painted upon the shield is an emblem, of a scale, with a sword behind it, the symbol of Alymer’s church, the same one that appears in his tattoo.

Alymer’s armor is normal steel armor, heavy fullplate hardened steel which covers his entire body, as well as a full helmet, although it is unaffected by any normal climate, such as rain or snow. It is slightly lighter upon his body than normal armor, but is by no means weightless.

Alymer possesses uncanny physical strength for a human, almost unrealistic, and is in peak physical condition otherwise.

Alymer did not get his start in roleplay, but in medieval fantasy fiction writing. All stats are approximated from his character in the stories in which he is featured as a major character, and all gear is identical to his gear in said stories.
