Few days in now, a problem I see is that resource collecting is super slow for those of us who only log for a quick session or two a day. I'm still early on so maybe this gets better but right now my buildings max out at around 300 resources and fill up within a couple hours. If I'm only logging in that means I basically have two-three days before I can upgrade a single building. This slowness is kind of off putting since it just doesn't feel like I'm progressing at a useful rate.
Initial impression seems good. I just wish there was a way to re-roll characters if you decide you don't like a certain race. Also, small gripe but when the achievement and quest completed notifications flash by having to wait for them to disappear before I do anything is a bit of a drag. It would be nice if they were less intrusive.
Game has potential but their needs to be more strategy to it. Either I'm missing something or it's worthless to buy any of the troops except the heroes. Each mission basically just ends up as release hero, spam cheap units, replace hero, spam more quick units, rinse and repeat until round ends.
I enjoy the game immensely however I would like to see a few additions. Visual indicator for rares off screen. A zoom out function. A fix for vira savior pileup (They all seem to rush to the same target/each other) or an upgrade to Vira Healers that makes them as good as the savior but in turret form. And as always with great games. I want more!
Card selection looks pretty good, different battle sizes by using multiple decks is a neat feature. But there are a lot of things about this game that turn me away. Lack of control in the actual battle is a pretty major one. That limits the effectiveness of cards by a large margin and the AI can get an insane advantage by having better cards. I can already tell the island is going to be tedious if I bother to play it due to the invasions and if I don't use it I lose out on a sizeable amount of income and the ability to research cards. Real money appears to give a sizeable advantage and the prices aren't worthwhile for what I get out of them. Lots of loading screens, they aren't long (usually, some are a fair bit longer than other) but it does get tiresome to see them constantly. Chrome lack of sound is disappointing, but at the same time I usually mute these sorts of games anyways. Overall, some nice concepts but could use some reworking before I would consider it worth playing
Well, this game has made it abundantly apparent that I haven't played fps games in a long time. If I hear sub-standard again I'm going to shoot something! And that something may or may not be the thing I'm aiming for!
I like the game but it would be fun to see more to it. I think a bit of gold to buy at least 1 color/aura set would be nice for new players to start out with. I also would enjoy seeing customizable layouts for the fighters. That way you wouldn't always know what to expect when you see a certain type and you could really customize a fighter to suit your playstyle. It'd be neat as well if there were things on the maps that blocked attacks. (And did damage to your plane if you flew through them.) That'd make gameplay a little more exciting.
I have played a bit more and I have come to be even more frustrated with the pathing and just general control of troops. I spend most of my time in battle just babysitting my troops so they go down the path I want them to by clicking directly in front of them repeatedly. If I click so much as a hair too far from them they turn around to get to that spot by following a different routes that are sometimes 100x as long. Their auto-attack nature also seems problematic in this sense. They routinely go after towers that are on routes I don't want them going along (Usually because of the tower...) no matter how many times I tell them to go another direction. Combined with the aforementioned pathing problems this makes for extremely frustrating moments where I’ll lose a lot of troops just because they aren’t when I told them to be. And left click seriously needs to be simplified to where it's either move(Or attack move if you're feeling generous), or attack if you click a unit.
I really like it but it could be made a bit easier to play. Left click should be atk move or simply attack when another unit is targeted. Having to click where you want your units to go and then have to click again to actually send them there gets tiresome quickly.
Good god. Synapticon... Why??? You make games with good concepts and then trash them to utter crap. Please, I beg you. Learn how to make a game that appeals to more people than those that simply have a load of expendable income the size of a small country.
Game has a good premise but could use some work. More interesting levels, more options to utilize the color changes and maybe a little less linerider feel? Would love to see this concept grow into something even more fun.
I was actually slightly disappointed in this one mostly due to the music. It's just hard to listen to the tracks on this one because the music is definitely sub-par. If there's another release I hope the music quality improves so I can enjoy the next one.
