Ares, what happened to you?
“Journey”
Mother, Father, thanks to you,
I’ve found a path to see me through;
To guide me through the darkest hour,
Past the fiends who may devour;
Through the fields of twilight snow,
That which tries to make me slow;
Over top the plains of strife,
Driving forth my bitter life;

My newest goal comes to my sight:
The one who lets my heart beat free,
Thank Those Above; so mote it be. show less
“Waiting Game”
Waiting, Waiting, oh what a game,
Pretending things won’t stay the same.
Oh, fair Mother, can’t you see?
This cursed game is killing me!
So much so, that I’ve withdrawn,
That I become no one’s pawn;
Upon new ears, my voice is hoarse,
Until this game hath run its course.

From her, slowly, my heart decays,
That tender love turned bitter haze.
So certain these words she’ll never know
I leave them here, my marks to show.
Mather, Father, hear my plight.

“My Wiccan Preservation Prayer”
And so I lay me down to sleep
(Upon this humble, lonely bed),
I pray the Mother my soul to keep
(And bless the dreams within my head).

(Truth be told, it hurts me not),
I pray the Father my soul to take
(Lest in my body it’s left to rot).

Unto them both I say, “Amen”. show less
“Mercy”
What’s it like, you wonder, to be left at the mercy of another?
This subject is too broad to be answered in such a simple way;
Is that mercy to keep from being torn asunder?
Is it the mercy to laugh and play?
What I ask, of course, is the mercy of life,
Where another may choose to end your time.

What I ask, of course, is the mercy of life,
Where another may choose to end your time.
At such a crossroads, your terror is rife,
The other’s power, sublime.
And with the blade against your throat,
Your life begins to flash on by;
Does the one above you gloat,
Or does he start to cry?
And then you’ll feel a wetness flood.
Is that your tears, or your precious blood? show less
