History/Culture: Little is known and less is understood about the reptilian people known as “Lieken” By most languages. They have separated themselves into different tribes each one from a simple genetic difference. The Wakuit: The tribe of “Leiken” that is composed entirely of Leiken that have thick boney spikes jutting from the bridge of their nose then slowly growing larger as the reach the neck then stop. They have dark green skin with darker patches as camo with a lighter underbelly.
The Kehl: A tribe of Leiken that are a lighter shade of green and white bellies. They have large crests formed on their heads and jaws alone with webbed fingers and toes. They spend more time in the water which explains their odd features. The Yelhai: These Leiken have no distinct features other then… Well having none! Being a dark shade of grey and being almost plain they speak slowly and their voices whisper in your head and no one person can ever clearly see them as they constantly dart around and fade as if shadows. The Gitolech: A Leiken tribe formed of the rejects of the other tribes, be it born with the look of Wakuit in the Kahl tribe then rejected by both or simply because they served no immediate use to either tribe this tribe’s very name means, “Less desirable” In the Leiken language.
Other then the obvious physical & divine differences they are near exactly the same in all other ways their buildings, pottery, culture, weapons, etc. Their buildings while some are made primitively of stone (I.E. The Tribal Chieftain’s Dining hall may be stone walls with a wooden roof and some kind of insulation and rain guard) most are made in round shapes of wooden stakes sticking from the ground with a straw roof tied at the top but a small hole left open to serve as a chimney as the fire places are always in the center of their homes. All food and animal pelts are prepared here with their beds (Simply sheets made of wool and other warm material wrapped up into a bed roll) are placed around the fire a safe distance away though so that warmth still reaches them. Villages are composed of 30-50 individuals and 1 tribal chieftain who serves as king and general. They are always cluttered with houses and market stalls of some sort selling handmade necklaces crafted expertly of colored rocks and other appealing material, Leiken may also have stalls or simple their products laid out in front of their houses from weapons from stone daggers to iron war axes and everything in between. Their clothing is made from different animal skins and simple threading. Their villages have many travelers which explain the many marketing items. While some items are shipped off most have to be bought on site. Despite their human visitors only very few of the Leiken know English.
Leiken are all technically warriors though the warrior class is a different thing all together. The Wakuit warriors are trained in both melee and ranged. They are masters of stealth and security being extremely agile allows them to hunt and fight easier than most tribes. Unlike the other tribes however, equipment is earned not given. When a Wakuit joins the Warrior Class (Male or female) they are given a wooden club with a small stone plate on the end for melee and a blow gun of which the darts they must make themselves. Weapons/Armor is earned through the following:
Number of kills(hunting or otherwise)
Number of battles they have fought
Reputation among the tribe
Productivity to the tribe.
All the other tribes however simply except the warrior class and give them a basic training and initiation. The Yelhai are obviously mages and masters of it. The Kehl are masters of sea warfare. They swim out to boats and can capture them in minutes their main trait being the two blades they carry to battle and their swiftness in the water. The Gitolech are obviously the best in the ways of warriors have warriors/mages from each tribe gives them a huge advantage.
