Anaksha is one of the best flash games- no, scratch that, THE best flash game i have every played, the gameplay, the graphics, the storyline, the sounds, everything is PERFECT! You should get paid for this, get a job in developing or something, cos if this is your first game, you have a crapload of potential and a good future in game making.
PS.You rock.
PSS.Don’t have a sad ending in Anakhsa 2, trust me, sad endings don’t cope with flash games.

Just wanted to say that Anaksha: Female Assassin has a proud place in my favorite games, and I’ve got to be honest, it’s one of the best games I’ve played, bar none. Fantastic work on it. I visited the blog and read up on Anaksha 2. If there’s anything the community here on Kong could do to help speed things up, by all means, let us know! It sounds like you’re really putting your heart and soul into the sequel. Can’t wait for the (eventual) release, and I’d love to playtest on any of your projects. I haven’t been this excited for a sequel since I played the first Tactical Assassin, and that totally pales in comparison to this. Much support, and good luck!

Just played your game and…wow. I honestly was in tears at one point. I think I might have heard of the incidents you took some of the victims’ stories from. I’m completely against violence, I’m even against the death penalty, but there are stories that make even my blood boil. It’s games like these that help me get that out in a way that doesn’t actually hurt anyone, so I can focus on things that really do help.

And as for the feminist thing, I’m a feminist (ooga booga booga!). All feminism is, is the belief that the sexes are deserving of the same rights, including the right to live without fear of abuse. Violent crime, particularly by an intimate partner, is far more often against women than men. This game is very much feminist in that it is (relatively) realistic. If people can’t deal with the facts, that’s their problem, and you owe them absolutely no apologies.

If I have one complaint about the game, it’s that it needs a trigger warning. Not a warning about the violence, you’ve done that and hey, it’s a sniper game, there’d better be some violence, but some of the things mentioned (DV, rape, child molestation, etc.) have the potential to affect some people very personally. I was prepared for the blood, but those issues (while they definitely need to be addressed) are not ones that are often brought up in games, not in a serious context, so I definitely wasn’t expecting it. I’ll definitely be recommending this game to my friends, but I’m just going to use a bit more caution than I would otherwise. Besides that, amazing, amazing game. The graphics are just superb, and you captured the noir feel perfectly without going overboard and making it comical. Major kudos, my friend.
