This is one of those games that is really full of character. While the gameplay feels very static, it is executed in such a way that the atmosphere really keeps you sucked in. I just couldn't leave due to the narration itself as I went on its journey. On top of that, death felt rewarding with more voicings, I wanted to see every level.
Love the half key Y movement now. The Gameplay feels very solid. Cohesive look and feel. I feel there is more to the idea that you could bring but it is very good as it is. (4/5)
Nice job removing the panning makes it much more playable now. The only thing left I see now is the fact that you can move *anywhere* on the keys. The problem with that is if you go to the top of the keys the music feels out of sync. I suggest that since it is made to sync with the bottom of the keys but you want to give players a little bit of leeway on catching the notes (I assume that is why you let the play have some vertical movement.), restrict movement to the bottom half of the keys or so. This way they have some leeway, but they will for sure stay in sync.
Very fun and has an NES/Atarieque charm that I love. My only problem is the panning which often messes me up on the more difficult songs. 3/5 (4/5 if you fix the panning)
This game is so far the highest quality out of all the others when it comes to style and production values. The one problem I'm getting out of this is the music integration. It is there, but not obvious. I need the reaction, I LOVE how the track adds that extra layer to the song, but the music feels very plopped on at times. Another issue is the sense of difficulty curve. Perhaps an in-level tutorial like audiosurf? Aside from integration issues, this is a very well made game. I see definite style with it and it is a great game to chill to. Good luck with Project Eden!
I assume you are doing a legit gravity with a gravitational force pulling it down. Either way, while you fall nice and slow at first, you just fall way too quickly after a second of falling. Add a terminal velocity (Drag) so you will eventually max out on falling speed.
Neat Concept. Of course needs a little polish (fitting music, cleaner art, etc) But it is a nifty idea you can work off of. Only worry is the it is a little too fast paced to give a player a sense of true enjoyment. 3/5
Well if there could be some unique content that could actually have it not jsut be a rip of a shootorial I would actually give it something decent. 2/5 for effort with art
