About me
Dark shadows surround the one known as the Cryptic Dude, swirling lazily about, lightly, as if it were hair in the wind. His robes are dark and impenetrable, the continuality of it broken only by the embroidery on the hems. As you look closer, you notice that the embroidery is strung of golden thread into runic symbols of the darkest magic. You try to concentrate upon them, desperate to make out what they might mean, but they seem to change shape even as you watch! His cowl is pulled low, covering his face in darkness so complete that only his crimson lips are revealed, highlighted only by the creamy pallor of his chin. It is then that you notice them rising slightly on the right side. The soulless chuckle which emits from within rocks you to the very core.
‘All hope abandon ye who enter here’.
Through me you pass into the city of woe:
Through me you pass into eternal pain:
Through me among the people lost for aye.
Justice the founder of my fabric mov’d:
To rear me was the task of power divine,
Supremest wisdom, and primeval love.
Before me things create were none, save things
Eternal, and eternal I endure.
All hope abandon ye who enter here.
Such characters in colour dim I mark’d
Over a portal’s lofty arch inscrib’d:
Whereat I thus: Master, these words import.

Now, this isn’t the interesting part. While I have yet to make one friend here, I have somehow become the friend of over two dozen people. I have researched into this…this phenomenon and here is what I have come up with. This is an effect of the random ‘adding’ which gets done here. You who add me to your friend list do not become my friend, but show up as a fan, on my profile. However, on your profile, I am listed as your friend. Here is the error in that logic. I am not any of your friends. I have never spoken so much as a word to anyone on this site, let alone anyone on my ‘fan’ list. Not that I have anything against any of these people, it’s a false presumption for me to be their ‘friend’. So the question is; “What can be done to correct this?” Simple. Take the social network just one step further. Make it so that, in order for someone to be on your friend list, the person has to be “invited” to be your friend. Make a list called “People (profileName) admires”, in which you can add the living daylights out of, but let there be a friend list that is exclusive, as well as reciprocal between willing parties. As I said before, I have no problem with the 26 people who have ‘added’ me, as of 2/1/10, but I don’t desire to be “friends” with people I don’t know. show less

In the previous examples would be created a novel, a great dish and a sense of peace. Our works reflect just who we are in the game world. Stride carefully in your endeavors, fellow developers…. There is much to be done with the skills which can create, but how you are remembered depend on how you use them. show less
For those who are developers, be it for flash games, pc games, or console games, here is an article worth reading;

Furthermore, there is plenty to be learned at this site, if the appropriate time is spent there..
