This was actually pretty fun to play. I'm looking forward to seeing you develop this a bit more in the future, and I think it'll turn into one of kong's best.
It's sad to see this game getting rated down so soon into the game... I don't think people realise that there's more than just 7 levels! This is one of my favourite games on kong, and amongst nerdook's best! The idea is simple, but the development across each level is fantastic. Thanks for this game, nerdook, definitely a 5/5! Thanks for featuring my music, it's an honour!
Thanks for all the comments about the menu theme tune to the game, it's called "Pandora," and it's one of my piano improvisations from my album 'Paradigm'. Thanks for creating this game, Nerdook, I really enjoyed playing it. We're all looking forward to more games from you. Good luck in the eden competition, you have my support! :)
Being a pianist myself, I have to tell you, this is nothing like the real thing :p The piano's too complex an instrument to be summed up with letters and numbers on a computer keyboard... which don't even line up the same way. The piano is mapped out beautifully so that the player gets used to the gaps between the keys, which allows them to form their own chords easily, no matter where they are on the piano. This... is just random. One moment I'm pressing the H key, then I'm leaping to press A and 5 down together! I think it's a nice concept, but it's too overblown... most music rhythm games only have a couple of keys for a reason!
For anyone interested, I've made a live piano recording of the second track in the game titled "Kathryn," you can listen to it on youtube, here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PnVWLVljJjA . Many thanks to David Carney (the composer!).
Good job, is my music credited anywhere in this? lol. The game takes a long time to load, and just gives me a black screen at first, so that's probably why you haven't had so many plays! If you get that updated, then more people are sure to play it.
