Well changing the level-up rewards for tourneys is unfortunate. The extra tix for low lvl lvlups encouraged ppl to try more heroes and gets ppl over the learning curve of tourneys. Please consider changing back. (p.s. love the game, not playing much of anything else these days)
Interesting Bug: If you are next to an edge, jetpack baddies from that side cannot reach you if you stay on the edge. This means you can hang out on an edge killing baddies from other side. Once only jetpacks that cant reach you are left you can hang out while health & focus regen. They chainsaw them to move on.
It is beatable on harder. The way the game calculates how many zombies are next to your walls is based on the number of zombies in squares directly adjacent to your walls. For this reason there are three things to remember: 1)keep the squares next to your walls as clear as possible, 2)limit the perimeter of your base (a square shaped base has the smallest perimeter wall for the largest number of tiles), and 3)use the edge of the board - since there are no adjacent tiles to those on the edge, there are less zombies. Of course you also want to start very aggressively (nobody guarding for at least two turns), recruit virtually every turn, and get a bit lucky.
If you've enjoyed playing the game, note that if you complete all levels with cores, you can unlock monster mode - where you get to release the monsters to capture cores. Good for three more puzzle levels.
Not a bad start. Needs some debugging before the next release. However, it's got nothing on an older turn based RPG in the Fallout tradition: Caravaneer. It's been on Kong for 3yrs already and it has more depth and variety.
5/5, rly? Too luck based. Best went from 1.3M to 3.4M w/ no change in strategy. Just lucked out on a couple of ammo & avoiding air spikes. (Air spike killed me in middle of nuke.) Tip: do not buy nukes until you have golden gun & tank. Tip2: do not buy chest bomb until gold cannon.
Monsters are automatically banished if/when they reach your wizard's tower. (That's why it's important to keep a little mana reserve in case of leaks.) If you have no mana when they reach your tower, you die & end of battle.
