The last little room in Module 5 threw me for a loop, but it was a great way to finish it. This is easily one of my favorite puzzle games on Kong, I think -- you balanced challenge and fun, while still keeping neither too simple nor too complex. It's a great balance. The music was great, the puzzles had some good variety, it had simple controls, and looked beautiful. 5 stars, and I couldn't see myself rating anything lower. Very nice work.
I loved the story -- at first, I was a bit put-off, thinking it would be cheesy, but it's very well done. The gameplay was fun, if not a bit lacking, though. It would have been nice to see enemies shooting back a little bit sooner than they did -- by the time there was real danger, the player is probably overpowered. But a 5/5 from me. It's a very well-made game, and written in a way that has a strong hook to keep the player going 'til the end. Great work.
It's pretty nice for a little platformer, if not a bit easy. There's no consequence for dying it seems, so it makes rambo-ing through each screen a non-thought; you just do it. In the full game, maybe there's a point deduction or something. I dunno. I did enjoy it though, and I'd give it a 3/5 -- the two levels were way too short, making me even more disinclined to buy a game like this. But I did enjoy what was here.
I'd just like to say that I don't entirely enjoying being told I've wasted my time. "You'll need lots of instant kills for the last level." Well, thanks. If you wanted us to fight or buy something like that, don't drop that 30 minutes into the game, please. I pumped the Soul to max, only to find the last level literally impossible. It's a bit fun, but if you're going to offer upgrades, don't railroad the user into selecting certain ones or a shop where you have to hoard instant kills. It may seem like a good idea, but it smacks of poor design. I liked your music and the idea of the game, but your last level is just horribly planned. That said, I found it a bit fun until the brick wall. I'd say 3/5.
It would be fun except for one crucial flaw: The player doesn't actually have to think to get both badges. Once I received enough money to get the Auto Gun, I literally held W and Space, and had no problem whatsoever. (For fun, after finishing the game, I repeated the last level with Missiles and only W+Space. I started with $400,00, ended with $836,000.) The game is solid, if not VERY grindy, but I never found myself using your slow-mo idea, or even swerving in later levels. It's a big enough deal for me to give it a 2/5.
It's a good game. I just don't find it to be a FUN game. What's here, gameplay-wise, is very simple and straightforward. You've got great music to go along with it, as well. However, I just wish there was more to it than that. I would give it a 2/5. I like what you've done here, but I don't find it fun.
It's not bad, but it's not great either. A solid 3/5. There was no real challenge, apart from maybe the X-shaped level near the end. It was a very repetitive gameplay mechanic, when it became readily apparent that the best way to win. . . Was to charge head-first into a base. There was really no need for your team-mates to even follow. Coupling the rage system made it even easier. It was fun for a bit, but got boring by the end.
It's kind of fun. The music is nice, and the concept is pretty fun. Like others have said, it would be great to let us continue from the level we failed, perhaps with a score penalty, rather than start us from the beginning. There's no real incentive to start again when there's no real difference to any levels, either. However, I'd give it a 3/5. I found it fun, but not lasting at all. Was fun for a few minutes, though. :)
I love the music, and the art was amazing as well. Another great difference game. There's really nothing bad about it I can say, nor any improvements I can think of. A 5/5 from me. :)
I loved the first one, and this is more of the same. Which means I love this game. The gameplay is simple yet addictive, the music is incredible, the visuals are so detailed and thought-out. . . This game is much more inviting than the previous game, I feel, which is another huge plus. (Opening story = Lol, too. :D) A 5/5 from me; great work, yet again! Keep it up! :)!
As Dexter said, once you get past a certain point, you receive so much money that the game plays itself. I don't think it's actually possible to lose past day, like, 8-ish. The art and music was wonderful, though the sound effects were a bit loud. But how short and easy it was was a big letdown. Less money, or just stronger mobs, would be a huge plus, as well as more days. 3/5 from me; I love what's here, but it needs to be amped up a bit.
I gave it a 3/5. Would have been 4/5, but please, something so large as the shop should not have been disabled. Select items in it, yes, but the whole thing? No. Otherwise, I am having no problem with this game: Ratio of 3:2 for Fitness and Finesse, with only skill points in Charge. No problem. The art is wonderful, and I like the idea behind it. But the ease and repetitiveness of combat hurts it. Still fun for a bit, though. :)
As I said in your thread, a 5/5 from me. You've got great difficulty here, and it's a puzzle game. Two things that should go together. :D Love the style, and how most puzzles made you go, "Oooh!" once you figured them out. Wish I could comment on the music, but I muted it as I had my own running -- I'm sure it's fitting, though. Great work. :)
I was about to comment and say, "This is really simple," but as soon as I started getting 5s and 6s, things hit the fan. The music was a little annoying, but the mute button is easy to find, at least. The gameplay is fun, and I like being able to turn the board; thanks for the reminder mid-way, by the way. I'd give it a 4/5; some more varied music would help. :)
I like the concept, but I think it's executed rather poorly. The game moves much too slow to be of much interest, and the difficulty isn't there. I know you have to unlock some of them, but at the pace the game goes, I can't see myself playing through it a few times to get them; a speed changer would really help. The pace alone turns me away from the game. I'd have to give it a 2/5. I do like the idea, again, but the pace at which you put it makes it feel like a chat game more than anything.
It's a fun game, but my complaint is there's no real form of "defense". I've noticed my team-mates just run right through the other team's players, only to find the people that should have been pushed back still coming at me strong. At that point, it degrades to a game of "Pass a lot, and then sometimes throw." Adding in actual defense instead of just always punching the guy with the ball would be great. Otherwise, I suppose it's kind of fun. I'd give it a 3/5.
Now this brings back memories of sitting in my friend's basement, just kicking the crap out of each other. Sure, there aren't many moves, but this is still near the top of my list of good fighters. You can't get much better than a bit of side-scrolling beat-em-up with simple combos and good challenge. (And Blanka, too. ;) Can't forget him.) 5/5 for the memories and the awesomeness. Thanks for the upload!
Picross! Oh, yes. Oh yes indeed. How I've always wanted something like this. And now I've found it. I'm totally not biased, but 5/5. Wonderful music, great difficulty. . . You are my hero, Groady. Thank you for this game.
Very nice. The music was a turn off for me, at first, but it grew on me very quickly; fits perfectly. Simple graphics, but still nice. I was a little disappointed that it's set up like Super Stacker 2, in how you select your levels in terms of Easy, Medium, Hard. . . But that's not too important. What matters is that it is simple to pick up, and fun to play. I'm not far into it at the moment, but it's a 4/5 from me. I really like it. Great work. :)
