Today (Jan 22) I'll be streaming some work on some new features, feel free to come check out the stream! I'll be adding skill tree spell info, extra stat info, hotkeys for dialogue choices, and mp use for spell hotkeys. http://www.twitch.tv/dustinaux
Hey everyone! I'm hard at work on The Enchanted Cave 2 at the moment, so if you're interested, check out @dustinaux on Twitter for the latest development updates, screenshots and gifs of what's to come! :D
Hi, enchanted cave developer here! I'm working on an Android port for this right now so you have any suggestions of things you want fixed let me know on my kong profile, website or @dustinaux on Twitter! I'm already going to add in-game help tips for first play-throughs, improving magic formulas, adding a non-artifacts sell button, and adding a low-life warning. Am I missing anything important? Thanks for playing! :D
Hey all, I'm working on an Android port for this at the moment, so let me know any (small) changes you'd like to see in the port, since I'll be deep in re-doing the UI for touch screen anyway. I'll be sure to make some of the easy changes I see in the top comments here (like walking over gold sacks, sell all non-artifacts button, and redoing the magic damage formula to make it useful), but if you have any other ideas let me know! Quickest way to reach me is @dustinaux on Twitter! You can also leave a shout on my profile here and I'll see that later! THANKS! :D
I hear so many comments on how the game is too easy as it is now. If I made magic more useful (or useful period, for that matter, I'll admit), the game would become super easy. So change the balance, you say. No, I'd have to change the balance of every stat in the game, including how damage is calculated, and the rarity of items to make magic balanced. If I were to do that, I'd be better off writing an Enchanted Cave 2 from scratch. Updates are for fixing bugs, not making different games, sorry. Saving character and arifact data is safe now (don't confuse with in-game temporary saves please) and will be kept with any future updates. Kong API has been implemented from the start.
The wave in survival where there's turrets all aroung and 4 big tanks is way too hard. It's nearly impossible to beat without losing at least 50 armor, while the other "deadly" waves can be easily beaten while only getting hit once or twice. The rest of the game's good.
The harmony badge is entirely too hard. Even if you know every one, those that can't type fast are screwed when they get "trapezoid" or "lightning." And the skip is useless. The main game is really fun, though. Sketching the objects in paint really helped me. 5/5 (not gonna let an impossible badge drag it down ;))
