The upgrade system reminds me a little too much of kingdom rush and not to mention the annoying pick coins with mouse thing. Kingdom rush also somehow managed to keep a lot more interested, idk if it was the music or just the general atmosphere but i lost interest in this game after a few mins.
On the other, this game is pretty well polished and the mistakes are mistakes of absence rather than ones of inclusion. The first ones are rather less glaring and it was kind of fun the time i played it for. So on the whole, 3.5/5 ( i wish i could give 3/5 but i cant so i gave you a 4 :] )
I think everyone likes these games so much because it is pretty much perfect in its own limited sort of way. the balancing is extremely good and makes every level challenging but not too much so. I really would have preferred it if we could port our save files from one to this though.
I just realized that the solution being unique can also help you solve. I feel terribly proud despite knowing that it probably is a very common thing. All the same :)
It makes sense for orbital bombardment to hate the enemies if you assume its the government sending ships to help you blast the enemies. That just goes to show how poor an aim the government has though.
While the game plays very well and it is a very awesome mix of dragons and volcanoes and tsunamis and spinkicks, it tends to get very boring a long time into the game. It simply is too easy. An easy way to remedy this problem would be to simple speed the title character up as the game progresses. As it stands, there is very little challenge later on.
