I’m quite sure this is what happened:

It is the result of a glitch that happens when the kong server lags while you are uploading an avatar, there is a chance for the script that crops and resizes the image to avatar 40×40pixel size to abort, resulting in the original image size.

Everyone there is no known way to make a big avi. It is a glitch that hapens every so often.
