As I'm not a native speaker, I'm having my problems with this one. For example what means a face like a plate? Maybe you could give hints how this is supposed to look like. But maybe that is to easy as well. Nice idea for a game however.
I think the key in winning battles (especially boss battles) is the ak as it also interrupts the enemy (slightly) and has a high fire rate - it works for joker as well as for the spawner and the final boss. Imho this weapon is also the key in jumping over the heads of the fireball throwing jins (level 8). It worked for me to fire with the ak to interrupt them, buying the time to jump over them - still you will need several attempts.
Game seems broken. Every time when billy touches the ground I still have 1 speed and the game will not continue. The game doesn't realized I have landed. Only way to get out, is to go back to the main menu.
Easy, if you know how to do it, you can finish it in two days, maybe less with luck. But this demo has potential. Its quick and easy to play and I'm quite sure you will add a way to keep the players playing (such as in infectionator).
Good job, scriptwelder! This game is fun and brings real life archaelogy a little bit closer. You've shown that even a "boring" theme as archaelogy can be converted into a funny game. This is gamification at its best! Now to the feedback: The systems seems slightly unbalanced, especially concerning strength (which also gives additional ap!) and catalogueing which works way to easy and fast, if you ask me. Also messaging seems to be quite strong, for low ap. You should consider making a hard difficulty, this would highly increase replayability and maybe even give a realistic feeling and would make players to stay longer.
Same about the ending with the dark side, when you try to defeat the herald and fail you are caught in a loop. However the game is very forgiving and you will automatically land in the place, when reloading the game.
There is a bug, when playing as fighter ending up defeated against the champion of darkness. If you do so you will get a "What a disaster message" with the button to abort the mission. If you click the message it pops up again and you can not leave the dialogue. Elsewhere the game is fine and with a greater universe or an inifinte playmode there might be some players who would pay for this extra content. So good luck!
Annother bug seems to be the achievement concerning trophies. I mean I have all 16 and won't get it. However the Deathbringer (final gun) in combination with lifesteal and poison is pretty nice. Also the drone is a nice feature that does not take any power, not that you need it. Try to avoid Sniper and any slow guns, as it can be annoying. The first symbol shows the power of a weapon, the second the weapons firerate. So try to avoid weapons with a speed of 10 or 15. You should also go for trophies, which offer free weapons and equipment. The e.g. acid gun is a good gun in most of the battles. Also you should stack healing injections.
Spoiler: Well maybe its time to reveal some dirty tricks. One is to restart the turn and using quicksave as a way to save your progress. So you can make all your attacks hit and restart the turn/quickload, until you get a perfect round if missaved use restart battle. That way you can win almost any battle in flawless victory. Also you should find secret options, which were hidden in almost any boss map (cut rope/toss bookcases). Also swapping of items during a battle is a nice idea. The arachnid boots is a secret, its an object in Zophias farm (slime/mushrooms ...), that lies under a mushroom (a cool item which increases jump and movement). Btw the J. Upper isa nice item, which increases movement and damage.
Flawless Victory :D. Warning Spoiler: I've just managed to defeat Duriken in a flawless victory and I even had enough time to send one of my members to get the treasure. You can make him waste his turns by using enrage and lewd glance - you can do one of these specials almost in every turn. Still you should go for the healer first in the first turn, by equipping Ivan with the arachnid boots (before the battle), using berate and haste on him. Go behind the healer, attack him and approach carefully with the rest of you party members. Than he will flee to the left and heal itself instead of casting warp. Thats the beginning of their defeat.
butch1980 - as I said the game is very unforgiving when it comes to selecting skills and the battles are hard. Spoiler: Try to get the tripple spear attack for the spearman and shove enemies so that you can hit several enemies with one attack (around 60-80 damage on two enemies). Annother great attack is the Shotguncrossbow, the molotov cocktail (don't have to skill it), roundhouse kick and the Beheaded attack. Bull Tests and celestrial drive can even increase your damage as they stack. I also recommend enrage as ist can use the strength of an enemy against him. You should also get the poison or the plaque arrow. There might be worthless characters in this game, but its hardly true - instead of attacking they can grab objects (or eeh bodys) and throw them. Haste is very cheap and worth it!
Its good, especially the funny dialogues must have taken you some time. But in the end its rather short and leaves players empty handed. There is still a problem that the battles have a decent difficulty, especially the final battle is not an easy task if you have skilled wrong. Without haste and speed arrow and some dirty tricks you can't really hope to win this one. As you are unable to grind at least gold to get better equipment you have to start over. The game is a little bit unforgiving when you make failbuys, but this is also part of the charme.
Well you don't have to use the coin to operate the trolley, you can also cut it with the metalcutter. Its however interesting, there is always one undead that survives if I try to get the survivor achievement. Did not figure out how to solve that.
This is a cool project and somehow reminds me of clockworks. You should check this game, maybe it can provide you additional ideas. However I believe it is more effective to learn kana and languages by drawing the kana itself, not by just repeating. I found it hard to memorize all the kana.
It was nice, but I personally believe that the 3D Graphic is not as convincing as an athmospheric 2D. So the scarejump moments did not really work for me. Maybe you could make object smoother and the images a little darker. I also had the problems with the screen, which is not convincing. A fullscreen mode would definitely help. Well, else I did not find the game hard, I believe the only thing was the 5th note, which could be ignored if you know history and can read between the lines.
Good rpg, but it has some bugs. But lets start with what I liked most - the best idea is the concept of dodging, counter and attacking - greatly done - it makes the battles dynamic and fun. One minor bug is that some of the menus don't close. For example when upgrading a sword at the smith. More annoying is it when trying to attack, but accidently opening the spell menu. One mayor bug is that you can get outside of the mapborder. For example in the cave you can step in the darkness without a way to get back. Finally I recomment to take yourself break and than return to the development. You've created an ui and a mission concept this was the hardest part of development. The rest is lets say fun :). You might even consider to ask for crowdfunding.
