I agree 100% with SnailRacer.. this isn't a quick play game.. you have to work at it. very fun thing to play for 10-15 mins every day. I can see this game working better on a phone for something to kill time while having fun.

Why does the wooden sword look like glass?

When you beat the main human castle(one with 6 building spots) DON'T build any thing till you get the shrines. Shrines up damage by 10% each.

For some reason I never "unlocked" the hipster customer.

very powerful combo: use the male, get nidhogg(1 white 4 black) as your beast, use gaia vest and divine rosary, get semi-high endurance and high empathy. use nidhogg's beast's breath solar eclipse and then get hit by as many attacks as you can(stand inside enemys if you have to). because of solar eclipse your HP is gonna be going up very fast and because of nidhogg's perk your gonna be getting alot of energy form being hit, wich makes solar eclipse last almost al the time. the trick is getting hit non-stop to keep solar eclipse on always. the male's shield combine with the 2 equips you'll be taking 60% less damage and because of solar eclipse you regain HP you will never die and also be attacking every enemy on the screen at the same time. you also want to have energy pots ready if your energy is about to run out for any reason.

after a while the missile ones stop shooting missiles :(

i dont think the penetrate people works all to well, i never see it go thru any people.
