Jan 3, 2012 12:11am Sorry to bother you about this and all, but I have a small question. Judging by how you have one of the best pointers (and one of the highest rated) regarding the impossible badge on Dino Run, I was wondering if you knew of a speedrun with an increased spawn rate of worms, fish or birds. I know that Raining Lizards is great for farming lizards, but you really don’t need to go out of your way for lizards. Possibly the speedruns Out to Pasture or Longest Mile would be good, but what I did was just repeatedly play the first four levels of challenge to farm birds, fish, and worms. The levels have some randomization, but on one possible level 4 you enter a little valley with a waterfall at the end, and if you climb up the mountainside you can find a lot of birds behind all the trees, though you have to jump to get them and you can’t see them ahead of time. After that once you come down from the mountain and land in the water to get a bunch of fish too. To my knowledge that’s the best level for both birds and fish in the game, but of course you have to play the three levels before it first, and even then there’s no guarantee that you’ll end up playing that level, due to the randomization. I’d recommend hitting the first four levels on easy repeatedly to gather up DNA until you have maybe 2 points in each stat, then change change the difficulty to medium and keep farming, which I believe lengthens those levels a little and I think gives more opportunity for gathering stuff. Once you have about 3-4 points in each stat you can probably beat most of the speedruns on insane, which will of course get you a lot closer to the impossible badge and gain you some more critters as well. That’s the best I could do for getting to the impossible badge faster. Good luck with the impossible badge, and the other personal quests you’re aiming for as well :) show less

I’ve nearly beat challenge on insane and quite a bit of the speedruns. I should be able to get the impossible by tomorrow with your help. Thanks :) show less

You’re welcome, I’m glad to have helped. And here’s hoping to a Dino Run 2 someday.

May 25, 2011 5:56pm Hopefully you mean lightness is just useless in the game. If not, you dont know much about physics and real life racing then.

A high thrust/force to weight ratio is nice of course, but when your tires have so little grip like they do in this game, it is not a good thing, and you go flying all over the place. Of course, if the steering upgrade actually did increase your grip, then lightness might also be quite a useful upgrade. Not sure what the designer was thinking . . . alas. show less

Lightness does give one benefit to your car, it makes your jump score higher through each upgrade. |
