I love this game, but man do I hate it sometimes... death almost always feels completely arbitrary. Regardless of how many regenerating armor batches I have, regardless of how large I am, and regardless of how I build my cell... sometimes I just die out of nowhere after one or two hits.
I was looking forward to a Nerdook spin on minesweeper... but this is most certainly not it. The only commonality it has with minesweeper is a square based grid, meaning its more like a billion other games than minesweeper.
The game is like all Undefined games - so, so much fun... ruined by a massive series of small oversights and poor UI decisions. I really really want to look past the mistakes (like I do with the Protector series), but wow is it SLOW. As mentioned, a times ten speed modifier is mandatory for me to play any further. Also, why does there need to be 50 enemies on every wave? The way the game is set up, if i beat the first 25 I can beat the next 25 - it just makes the game drag on even further.
Would really appreciate being able to start at 25% when you get to 50%, and 50% when you get to 75%, or something. Spending a few minutes taking a nap with my chainsaw in the beginning makes this game get very old very fast.
The most difficult part is generally the first round or two, at least on hard difficulties... which makes things really frustrating when a unit misses two or three times in a row, making me restart a level a couple times... that mechanic should be entirely removed, all it does is frustrate people.
I don't have any idea why you made the dragon so absurdly powerful. In order to have any chance at this game, you need to find a divine edge before day ten... which does not always happen. That is entirely absurd.
This is the greatest game ever. I have always loved combinations of a well known puzzle archetype and an RPG, and this one is very original. I cant stop playing.
The hidden time limit is complete and utter BULL. I enjoyed taking my time, seeing how big a multiplier I can come up with... and with no warning whatsoever, I get a screen telling me game over. The time limit is understandable, but at least SHOW it somewhere...
This is really a great game, with a lot of diversity... but flying units take away a lot of that. I tried my best to get a somehwat even mix of warrior units in with the mages, but then realized that I was just making the game needlessly difficult due to the damn flying rounds - just using lots of mages or archers is so much better. Would you consider having warriors do half damage against flying units or something?
Absolutely amazing. The first three were outstanding, even though they were so similar to each other... this one is incredible. In the top three games I have ever played online by a goodmargin.
Love it, would love to see more of it. More levels, increased difficulty, more items, all that good stuff. There are a few issues (not being able to hit enemies that are too low, gold is sparse at first and plentiful later on), but I loved it.
Beating the final level gets you no souls, since you cant seem to save after beating it... pretty annoying, especially since you get big bonuses, as well as achievements for doing so, but they can never really be had!
The game is great...ish. Every action takes a minute and a half because your server isnt nearly ast enough, and the connection gets dropped frequently. Having to restart wouldnt be nearly as much of a problem if it werent for the forty seven minute unskippable intro... seriously. 3/5 until the server gets fixed, where it will be a definite 5/5
These games need to stop. I always downrate games that add nothing new or are obvious clones of another game, for the simple reason that if there are a thousand choices, there are probably five hundred better games. This is no exception. If I wanted to play a match game I would find another one, or go pick up a Highlights magazine from forty years ago. 1/5, stop making this garbage.
Great game, but a ton of flaws. First, the final boss. Lame. It wasnt hard, but it sure was frustrating - you sit there shooting at it for five minutes, and then make a tiny mistake, which means you fall to your doom due to poorly designed platforms. Second, the ending! The story was great, even if it was similar to other games... but the ending rewards is just the words the end and YOU LIVEDED. Lame. Finally, Im not sure if the damage upgrades really did anything, optional upgrades scattered around were too sparse, too easy to find, and not powerful enough. A sequel would be outstanding, just make sure you realized the difference between difficult and frustrating, include the option to fire in all directions, add in more exploration/findables, and iron out a few design flaws (those butterfly spitters are just annoying).
Was a fun game...except dying and starting over got very annoying. Frustrating is not the same as challenging. Add more time per death, and set you back to a checkpoing a few seconds away and it will be 5/5, but or now just 4
The first one was incredible, and this had the oppurtunity to be great, but i thought this was just a tutorial, and then it was over... so that kinda sucks. 3/5 just because its so short, but the original is deffo a 5/5
