It's still the same version with the Kongregate API implemented for tracking score that's been up forever, the ability to post scores has not been removed.
It's not everyone's cup of tea, but then what is? If you rate a game, I believe it should be rated on the positives and negatives of the title itself, not based on how you feel towards the genre as a whole.
No, the game was designed by James Prucey of Canned Bananas (it says so in the credits), and the Flash port was done by Sean Hawkes. I loved the iPhone version so much that I contacted Jim and told him he should do a Flash version, and here it is. :)
The high scores are achieved through developing a winning strategy. It is a thinking game where you must plan your moves carefully. There is much more involved here than mere luck, though it does play a role.
You can already do that to an extent using a joker. Just put the die you don't want under a joker, since the joker can be placed either on a blank space or over top a die.
