From Icamasta's deck I'd cut the shield walls and R3 bots and use Hrathian bots because they cost 1 less and unblockable isn't a big deal for the human player. Seems crazy to pay 3 for a str 4 wall when you can spend 4 on a str 5 attacker that is pumped permanently to 8 with hive minds. That deck ought to win every challenge pretty quickly.
The point of allies is that they get you more power-ups although the power up system could be better designed. Also, if you get infected you can switch to an uninfected ally. Your size caps out at a certain point so there isn't much to do besides split.
The computer just plays a card of the top of the deck at random. It isn't actually making a decision to play a particular card out of a hand of cards. I favor an option to dump your whole hand and draw a new one, with perhaps a small penalty. Btw, how are all the people cheating to get best attacks of over 1000 pts?
saneiac - betrayal is a good card. If your opponent has a big creature out and you have good arcane you can blast him for a lot of damage and not trigger a counter-attack. I've used betrayal to do over 20 points of damage. The 0 sanity cost is a bonus because its free damage. I think its better than blast 'em for sure.
I agree, challenges are luck of the cards. Do I get a yog-sothoth and city of rlyeh before I get decimated? Or the computer do something like doppleganger when you have 12 trait, no elder or arcane when the computer has 20 arcane, 17 elder and 0 trait. Also challenges where you have a 10% chance of losing every turn simply because and you just have to try over and over until you get a strong enough hand to win almost immediately, ie elder sign, asylum and dark young charge. I still think a discard all and draw option is needed.
Needs a bunch of polish. I had all my guys at the top of the screen and the terrain didn't advance. The rules don't explain enough about the actual details. I have to assume the calculations are very simple. A number of typos and misspellings.
In challenges where you lose if you go insane, how about not giving the computer cards that make you instantly go insane? Might as well have a card that just says, computer wins.
I'm not sure what causes you entire web to disintegrate but that's how the game ends, some stuff tears your web and every single strand starts to break no matter how well connected to the border leaving you with no web and no web fluid.
Blew through the endgame with Trike x3 and Ghost x3. Every battle ends in 2 turns except the final castles which take 3. Used gold dragons before ghosts.
Using commas would make the numbers a lot easier to read. Infections and deaths per day seems to have no basis on what is actually happening in the game.
