The other epic monster for Monsters Den Book of Dread is a Minotaur. Parties are made up of 4 people; one of them should be a ranged fighter. I for one do not say have a cleric in the back where he cannot use his basic attack- the cleric can only carry a mace. Hydras are easy to beat by the way a party with lots of poison damage does quite well. Check the credits to the game I should know.
