I think I became a lot less active in OT around late 2008-early 2009. The forum started to speed up to a point where I couldn’t reasonably keep up with it, and a lot of the threads began having no topic at all once SD got rolling. Now it’s basically impossible to keep up with it since the new posts in the first page of threads are usually from the last 3 hours, and the average user has 5000+ posts and 15 different alts (maybe an exaggeration, maybe not). Merging the music forum with OT didn’t help at all because it threw even more threads into an already massive pile. Perhaps if something happened to slow OT down to a reasonable speed or if the average thread was more interesting to me, I would post there again. For now, all I can do is wait and lurk.

At this point, asking for OT to slow down to 2007 or even 2008 speeds would be unreasonable, but it would be great if I didn’t have to look through 8 pages of threads to find a post from the last day. Even large threads with 500+ posts seem to get buried and unburied constantly. However, General Gaming and the Kongregate section seem to move at a good speed. Both sections are active enough to get quick responses, but they aren’t so active that finding a specific thread is like going on a treasure hunt. So I guess I would be more likely to post again if it was around that speed.

I have a feeling OT’s gonna start slowing down soon, due to the fact that many OTers are leaving.

On a completely unrelated note, your post count is the same as the year humans landed on the moon.
