Revenge is never a straight line. It’s a forest, and like a forest it’s easy to lose your way, to get lost, to forget where you came in.
We shall not recoil in the battle for our capital city, our birthplace and dear Moscow, like an undestructable wall, a steel bulwark, like an destructible wall, a steel bulwark, we will shoot and destroy the enemy.
So far from home
Behind me, a figure came crashing through the doorway. Groaning and moving unsteadily on his feet, another angry pale man advanced up the stairs. I could see it now. This thing before me. Battered and bloodied, with decayed skin and a vacant gaze, it moved like no living creature in this world. I raised my weapon. I only hoped I had enough bullets.
Have you ever heard a joke so many times you’ve forgotten why it’s funny? And then you hear it again and suddenly it’s new. You remember why you loved it in the first place.
My love you march to war defiant may God returneth you triumphant and you’ll be brave, be strong, be true, my love and I’ll be waiting for you, forever…
Soldiers leaving their homes to the train setting off with this song to the front, singing it to defend Moscow in 1941, singing it to take Berlin in 1945
I am a sniper, a loner, I am not part of this world, but mearly observe it through my crosshair, I live by the shadows and die by the shadows, I am always distant from everything else, I am fearful by strenght, Invincible by distance, being a sniper is the worst thing to be, only Hell can cleanse what we do.
Is there a place for the hopeless sinner, who has hurt all Mankind just to save her own beliefs?
The street was deathly quiet, a low moan drifted in the midnight air as I slowly paced down the road. In the distance, the sound of machine gun fire crackled in short bursts, followed by the sounds of dying men and infected. Suddenly, I was thrown to the ground with a crash. I looked up to see a woman, her face cut up and her mouth shredded, her partially bare red, yellow teeth exposed from her broken jaw, torn to a ruin. She screeched and tried to bite my shoulder, but I tucked my legs up under her stomach and kicked her off me. She fell to the ground with a thud, but was back on her feet in a flash. She was again nearly upon me when her head exploded, splattering the car behind her with blood. She fell to the ground limp, and standing in front of me was a Police Officer. “Quickly, follow me before more of them come” he said, a 12 gauge in his hands. I nodded and got to my feet, before following my rescuer back to where he came from; Precinct 13. As I walked in through the gates I saw more survivors, huddled around small fires with groups of more Police Officers.’ I smiled as I finally realized I was safe from the terrors of Fairview. For now…
I do not know where they go, I do not know what they do, but when you’re in the countryside, you see many soldiers walking… far from anything.
