The main character has the firearm skills of a newcomer. Follow-up shots, reload technique, let alone accuracy. Protip: right click and hit forward to skip through stages. Hitting right click>back will get you a respawn on certain levels.
I'd suggest getting rid of the resource penalty for less than perfect runs. Having to grind beginning maps for resources in order to beat the later levels doesn't make things more enjoyable.
Buggy. After one boss as someone mentioned, the map goes blank and your weapons disappear. After you die, the game just hangs up. But somewhat of an improvement over RC2, which had horrible special weapons that just drained energy and couldn't sustain rate of fire.
Also, AI of charmed enemies seem to glitch time to time. If I cast charm on an enemy in the middle of a room, it'll sometimes run towards my character instead of attacking other enemies in the room.
Enemies need some sort of mana cap. It's impossible to run away from those knights with charge while fighting against multiple enemy healers is annoying, considering the speed at which they can spam heal.
Good game. The most annoying glitch though is when the character gets stuck moving forward while firing. That bug has gotten me killed quite a few times, though not moving and shooting simultaneously is a really hard habit for me to break.
Zombies should not be able to stack on one square and attack - they're killing barricades in less than a second when stacked. Also, the gunman cap should be removed.
Right now I'm using Firefox on OS X. Saves/continues work if I load/reload the game in one continuous browser session. If I quit or restart, however, I start right at the beginning again without any upgrades or the option to continue.
One change I'd like would be having unused characters or newly acquired party members automatically scaled in level/exp relative to each other. My Mardek is a good 2-3 levels above the most used party members, while a few of the other ones are far lower. That way, it'd be more convenient to switch members around to experiment with builds and tactics without having to grind a char up to par.
Has anyone found the mercenary useful past the tainted grotto? The undead shaman and almost every boss after are undead and the paladin outputs far more damage in those cases.
Pros: good artwork, fast paced gameplay.
Cons: My main issues with the game are that it's a platform shooter where enemies can come at you from all directions. However, you cannot shoot upwards or diagonally, making some fights simply inconvenient and worth evading.
Here's a spoiler on killing the butterfly boss: camp this spot and you won't get hit by most of his attacks, but not all of them. Only the attack where he moves across the screen will hit you and you should be able to survive (though it rarely uses it), but remember to fix your position after taking damage:

Great game and story. However, I think that it would also be interesting if you had the chance to make a moral decision (after Jonas flees), thus influencing the ending (i.e. Loondon burns, or Jonas simply returns to the old life). Just my 2 cents.
The level where you have to defend yourself against waves of zombies while the data is uploading ends with an explosion that kills you no matter where you are. After that, if you click or hit anything, it takes you to a previous level. Not sure if there is an ending, or if that was even meant to be the final level.
The beginning levels are definitely a bit tough on standard and higher difficulty - the probability that you will take on a boss room successfully is pretty low. Personally I think new games should allow players to invest in 1-2 skills and some stat points to start.
Then again, if you play past the 300+ level in any dungeon, monster's stats really start to outpace your damage output.
