I purchased the full version from you guys. This game is a wonderful timesink. Glad to see one of Kong's own making some awesome games. Fantastic work, everyone!
Very awesome pick-up-and-play game. Simple, addictive soundtrack, and plenty of replay value. Very solid climber game! Oh, and Link wants his hookshot back or he's going to sick Navi on you. HEY! LISTEN!
I want to like this game. I really do. The composition tie-in to the gameplay is a fantastic idea. But I can't help but feel as though the execution is lacking. "Random Cat" is more powerful than anything I can possibly come up with. While I can see that as having made the game more accessible to people who like your games, I think it takes the reward away from those who put in hard work and effort put into crafting good tracks for the more advanced levels.
This has Jmtb02 written all over it.
Rockets? Check.
Obscure object of the Animal Kingdom? Check.
Placing said Animal in an insane situation? Check.
Smashing art style to keep PETA from raging? Check.
The score system is rather pointless. Starting with a base score of 10,000 per level (random number) and losing points every time you drill (maybe a growing penalty for each cut? -250 points for the first cut, -300 for the second?) would work better for a game of this type. It would push score-chasers to plan out their cuts. That way the goal becomes to complete the level with as few cuts as possible. Bonus points could still be awarded for destroying enemy bots. As it stands, the game is a neat concept but lacks replay value. Jewels should appear inside the planet you're Chiseling, too. That way you're encouraged to plan a drill that nets you bonus points.
Huh. I guess I should have read the description. Maybe if I had, I wouldn't have spent 2 minutes just rocket boosting all over the place because it was fun. >_>
Needs work. The physics in this game are obviously rushed. Then the ball is moving left to right, kicking the ball on the "right" side should slow it down and eventually move it towards the right. The text is undesirable and often cut off by other layers.
There seems to be an issue with the API. It stops submitting the Sprites Collected value after a certain point in the game. This also needs some sort of quality setting or SOMETHING.
"We hope we’ve made one of the best Flash racing games available."
No, you haven't.
There are quite a few things wrong with this game.
1) Off-track speed is the same as On-track speed. What on earth? Do you not understand terrain?
2) The CPU controlled cars drive in random directions at the starting line and often make sudden sharp turns for very little reason.
3) There are NO descriptions of what the upgrades do.
4) Cars can not turn on a dime when parked like the cars in this game can.
5) No reverse.
6) Music track is decent, but not enough. Include another track or to keep the soundtrack from becoming mindnumbing.
7) Grammatical errors within the game.
Overall I gave it a 3/5 stars. Not horrible, definitely average, but not the best.
