Another bug - I am seeing considerable performance spikes, during combat, when I manually move around the camera. Noticed immediate smooth performance when not moving camera, and turning on auto combat.
Scratch that - bug reproduced: On first play in 1-2 weeks, immediately regenerated galaxy. Entered some combat and thats when the memory leaks went berserk. Could just be old code conflicting with the new (diff var names etc or null errors), but thats how it can be reproduced.
Absolutely LOVE the Farscape reference in the intro! Been watching that show again lately and its still among the best Sci-Fi series ever made. Mad props to you sir! "A radiation wave hit and I got shot through a wormhole..." lol
Did another playthrough recently. Glad you fixed the bugs. You know you love this game when you do a playthrough on hard using only lasers, then another using only missiles (godlike), then another using only fighters :P and afk during final battle ftw

In step 10 I got boned for a couple hours because I didnt see that there is a space after 'in', before '_root.ship.enemies' in line 14. So I researched for hours learning about basic for statements and advanced for statements, which this is. So thats the plus side. On the negative side, I'm a total moron lol :P
6352 after a few deaths and realizing a strategy. Its all about controlling what you can. And thats more than just when to jump. ;) figure it out. good game. Started to see something crazy floating in the background lol like a city.
