ENEMIES: You deal with a ragpicker society within the region. Not to mention there are lots of starving dogs (human and otherwise) ready to eat the flesh from your bones to survive.
Enemies you can deal with range from dogs, other scavengers, gang members, armed forces, and Dome Land police.
OBJECTIVES: There is only one objective to get inside Dome Land: Collect enough money from trades and scavenging to get inside, purchase a living space, and still have enough money to live comfortably for the next twelve months or so. Your character is looking towards opportunities, and they will present themselves in many ways. For example, you can shoot your fellow scavenger bretheren for their ammunition and money, you can pick a side in the war between Dome Land and the outlying towns within the region, and even make deals with important characters for profit. There will be different endings depending on how you play the game, such as a bad ending where you enter Dome Land, but you’ve killed so many scavengers that the material recycling program effectively screeches to a halt because of your actions, and Dome Land’s growth over the region is effectively stopped. show less

That doesn’t mean you can’t use guns: Several guns of various calibers can be used (9mm, .45, buckshot, .30-08, various more). Gang members, armed forces will be carrying various ammunition and weapons. Dome Land armed forces will have the best weapons – superheated needle guns that cauterize as well as hurt targets. (They come in two flavors: pistol and machine needler.) These two have anti-theft countermeasures: attempting to fire them without unlocking the security system results in a very nasty surprise – the needle guns explode in their hands and incapacitate the shooter with shrapnel. show less

The land is harsh and in some cases deadly to plant, animal and human life during the daytime, leaving the remaining inhabitants of the outside world to scavenge during the night time.
The player works within a limited time frame and has to scavenge within the night time at the cost of having to deal with other scavengers.
He can play through the beginning hours of the morning, but those hours get increasingly dangerous, but there are less scavengers to fight against. show less
GAME IDEA: Dome Land
Combines elements from The Last Stand (fighting, scavenging, looting in a post-apocalyptic (yes, I know, ANOTHER ONE) land), Caravan (random top-down combat against enemies, fluctuating economy with a supply and demand system), and Hedgehog Launch (goal involves reaching a certain amount of money within a limited time frame to … show moreGAME IDEA: Dome Land
Combines elements from The Last Stand (fighting, scavenging, looting in a post-apocalyptic (yes, I know, ANOTHER ONE) land), Caravan (random top-down combat against enemies, fluctuating economy with a supply and demand system), and Hedgehog Launch (goal involves reaching a certain amount of money within a limited time frame to win).
Setting is a post-apocalyptic urban area where scavengers collect and fight other scavengers to get inside the one remaining safe zone: Dome Land, a pre-global warming area protected from the weather with it’s own ecosystem.
Players fight, scavenge (and have to make snap choices within battles that could affect their current situation, e.g.: Bullets are very valuable and provide an advantage within a battle, but they are hard to find for guns), trade, and race to save themselves and others from gang wars, armed forces, and the Dome Land’s own private army. show less
