The Tiger decided Alexei would be his heir.To make Alex stronger, he tortured him.Reminded of his past with his mother, he escaped the sect.The guards were there and shot at him. He stayed alive. Now he lives in the nature.Obviously, he only knows what the Tiger teached him. His attitude toward other people is sometimes strange.
