The idea is good, but the graphics - especially within the game itself - are not really pleasing. The map background is horrible! If you would just replace that with something prettier it would already be a big difference.
I stopped playing when I saw that level 2 had the same ugly background as level 1.
Too bad, because all that upgrades looked promising.

I ran into a bug though: I won level 7, but one enemy got stuck on the screen. It didn't move and nobody wanted to attack it. Had to quit the level (and lose the gained fruits).
This made me discover the fast forward button though! This should definitely not be hidden in the settings menu!
Like some others mentioned, I really don't see the point in first making defenders and then direct them to a spot to build a tower on. Could have been useful if they - while mobile - could attack and maybe have special skills.
The tower upgrade menu could probably be a bit more user friendly if it would stay open after you've upgraded something.
Some keyboard actions would be welcome (change speed, upgrade tower, CANCEL an action)
Anyway, thanks for a good game!
The concept is quite good and original, but the game itself lacks proper difficulty balancing. It also could use more variation - it gets a bit boring after a few levels; by then it looks like you have seen all the game has to offer. I'm curious for an improved sequel!
An idea to make it even more player friendly: please don't hide the selected towers/upgrades/scripts when you access the upgrade window after you selected a level to play.
Kongregate achievements would be a nice addition.
