Obstructive Foreground: The Game.
I liked it, yes - but I didn't like how I had to move around just to make sure the thing I was looking for peeked out from behind the things drawn over it. The diamond ring was probably the most notable - unless you stood as far away from it as possible, the wall got in front of it.
Or the diploma or one of the jacks-in-boxen - until the NPCs moved, those weren't clickable at all, and the movements cycled. All in all, it was quite aggravating.
At least the fourth stage was some fresh air - the fish actually moved around themselves, so they couldn't stay hidden.
I'm afraid I'll have to rate this low. It's art, okay, I understand, but from a gameplay standpoint, it's just annoying.
I really like it when Reemus does actually show competence, coming from underneath his guise of ineptitude.
Interestingly, both times it's been throwing pointy things at Gygaxi in endings. He must be really good at it.
Well, duh. This game obviously violated all copyright Nintendo had over their game, so it has been aptly censored.
Maybe if you made something original...
My name is Commander Shepard, and I defended the Citadel.
Cure ending - it's the only one I deem proper. This way, we can set the entire world right, not just escape or write laws, as if that'd help in the long term...
As the game says, now we can truly Rebuild.
and now I'm going to play recreationally - lowest difficulty, simply take the city over
One thing I keep finding funny about this game is how despite theoretically being about escape, this game allows for completely dominating a map and covering it in collectors entirely. It's like Left 4 Dead characters establishing a government.
The biggest problem with this game is that it doesn't have much of a role for the player. I don't feel like I'm doing a thing aside from holding my cursor over turtles being eaten. The penguins steer themselves, the upgrades eventually lead to penguins that can win this all alone... I guess...
All I can do is just sit and watch penguins miss turtles most of the time. And if I wanted to watch and occasionally press a button or a few, I'd use my TV for that.
One thing that's strange to me is the Knight. I mean, he's the Knight. He should be able to move one space forward and one diagonally, even over other pieces. That's how a Knight moves.
Simple hint - as long as you upgrade your allies as soon as the enemy upgrades his units, they'll be able to defend the space station properly. Do that.
Consider the two medium badges as a split hard badge - one for completing all of the game perfectly. With a halfway point for the less skilled.
Personally, I didn't have many problems. Sometimes, the game gets a little bit luck-based, as the physics have to align themselves just right, but otherwise, getting a gold in a few tries isn't hard. Nothing too tedious. A solid 4/5, this is no masterpiece, but a good game.
Too many bugs to be properly playable - specifically, dying somewhere on the third level takes you back to the ogre fight. But that's not all - go left from there, you fall into the void. Ehhhh... playtest your game next time, will you?
A good way to get through level 8 is first making 5 toxins, what should bump the counter up to 10%, then stockpiling 1125 amino acids and 45 fatty acids to produce the remaining 90% in one fell swoop, not letting the resultant massive virus wave do a thing in the short time.
Trying to survive is futile, just rush for victory.
Heh. I don't care about metaphors much, but the game itself is fine... kind of like Particles or other "survive for long while objects are flying around", but with this incredibly interesting mechanic of "also get close to said objects". This adds a lot of challenge and makes you intentionally seek danger...
And, well, it was quite easy, seeing as I have all the badges after two attempts... the square patterns are kind of luck-based, what might be a minor gripe of mine with this.
4/5, either way.
Why is just staying with a cute girl that obviously likes me a bad thing? I don't get it.
Meh, art game. I'll never understand those. But I hate to see people break up and feel good about it.
I have no goddam idea how can you get all those incredible scores. On my first playthrough I got a bit above 200k, a fine score. That is, it was less than 100k from the digouts, but I had all the achievements. Then, on my second playthrough, when I thought I would do better, I got but a measly 150k, 90k from the treasure and the rest from trophies, as I failed to get containeur.
Motherload is better.
