Jun 5, 2011 1:13am In BWK, I chose to have Argus fall in love with the prostitute, but in the epilogue we see he lived for another 100 years. Does that mean she eventually grew old and died while he stayed young forever? Depressing.

May 25, 2011 12:15am Absolutely LOVED Battle for Wayland Keep! A few spelling/grammar errors, but I won’t complain, not with the wonderful gameplay aspects. Great job!

May 23, 2011 2:26pm Wayland keep is fun, even if I have only done Week 1. That being said about week 1, it was laggy for me, slightly. I can only imagine what else would happen. If you could make a quality button, Low, Medium, High, it would be great. I hope that would not be too much trouble.

May 24, 2011 2:27am Firstly, I love Battle for Wayland Keep. The dialogue is great, the personalities of the npcs are great with only slight divergences from their normal behaviours, usually for a joke. The dialogue is great, the personalities of the npcs are great with only slight divergences from their normal behaviours, usually for a joke. THERE ARE ALMOST NO TYPOS, which is unheard of in a game with so much text. I’d prefer if he ran a bit faster, I hate using lightning on a breaker at the gate when there are reapers or something coming. I very much enjoyed charging that first group of breakers though, and they all exploded mwahaha!. I think the charge skill and the third skill should make you charge to where you click (moving nearby first) just like the trap skill, because otherwise it gets a bit frustrating moving, clicking, lagging and getting less charge than you wanted. I’m on week 6 and so far the skills are really well balanced, although the game is reasonably easy when you are given techs to combat certain enemy types just before they appear. You may consider pushing back skill development by one week and spawning just one or two of a new enemy each week so there’s a bit more struggle? Just a suggestion because it would give very little improvement and would be a ton of work to implement. This is one of the best games I’ve played so I hope you view my post as what I wanted it to be: Heavy on appreciation with as much as I thought I could offer in constructive criticism. I have huge hopes for Ortus. My question, however, is what does character caching do? What do I risk by skipping it? show less

Hey, thanks :) As for character caching, the first time … show moreHey, thanks :) As for character caching, the first time an enemy is drawn for a particular frame, the graphics are cached which makes it much faster to draw that same frame the next time it is needed. If you skip character caching, that process is done during gameplay which will make things a little laggier for a while until all the frames get cached. Allowing the process to finish while loading the map will relieve that. show less
