Thanks Alex, I actually am working on something new that incorporates the Arena’s combat system. I’m targeting flash, and iOS, but it’s ambitious, so we’ll see if I ever finish…

I hope you finish, you’re one of my favorite developers on this site. Played and beaten all of your games here multiple times (after giving myself enough time to forget the puzzles) and they’re a pleasure each time.

Ha, yeah, my games are hard, I know that always affects the rating. I like hard games and really just set out to make games I want to play. Generally speaking, games keep getting easier, a trend I could never bring myself to follow :)

I really appreciate the level you put your games at. It fits. Granted, occationally I will look for an aesthetically pleasing game that’s easy to beat, but I appreciate those a lot less. I great game is built off of great puzzles and so many people think all a good game needs is a convenient format.

Well…I’ve had a passion for games since I was very young that’s stayed with me through to present day. I’ve owned everything from the original Odyssey, Atari 2600, all the way to the current consoles (although now I only have a PS3 from the 7th generation of consoles). Difficulty very much depends on the genre. Also, there’s a huge difference between challenge, and just plain unfair. It’s really amazing how much the Flash industry has grown over the past 7 or 8,or hell, even the just the last couple years.

Talesworth is 90% challenge..it’s just a major one. And, though they’re tough, they’re a type of tough that I can respect. The things I really don’t like though, are the arrows and the way you end up moving after hitting gates. Lots of times, I’ll have a route all planned out, then the arrows destroy that route. In TLA, the addition of the blocks, the food, the rail blocks and multi-directional arrows adds new layers of confusion. It gets a bit overwhelming..especially trying to get the gem and bonus areas. That’s really the only thing I just plain dislike. But, that hasn’t stopped me from putting hours into them.

I think Newgrounds’ format is more classic than Kongregate’s, though that’s pretty obvious since Newgrounds has been up for nearly ten years longer than Kongregate. They eally nedd to touch the medal system up better, especially with the redesign already being three months old already.

I am waiting on the App Store to approve the iPad version so I can launch both simultaneously. It was submitted last week, but still no approval. According to their dev site, it would be by Thursday end of day at the latest, but could be any time now.

Well then I find it quite a coincidence I earned the easy and medium badges for Talesworth Arena while wearing the shirt without even knowing it was by you. Are you secretly trying to make me a fan by working your way into my clothes drawers and by making me play your games?!
