What happened? I defeated the ooyak and picked up my weapon but then suddenly it didn't appear on my equipment list? why?

I'm not exactly sure what happened but I think theres this glitch that allows me to get out of the bubble when I'm out of bubble life. then I can't fire and I can't transfer to another bubble, instead I get out of the bubble and go nowhere.
