The developer said the questions at the start don’t matter. They just set your starting stats. Killing Firebolt at the start doesn’t matter either.

The cafe is important. But it sounds like there are some hidden requirements for characters. Like: “don’t die” or “buy Deadeye’s final weapon” or “level up and kill a lot”.

That is what I was thinking. Which is why I was really surprised when, at the end of my New Game + after getting everyone’s cafe conversation, reaching level something ridiculous, never being defeated in battle, etc. I still didn’t get the endings to Swig, Mare or Ginny. I got no ending. I’m guessing that is the bug?

I suspect Ginny’s ending requires that I not die (as she waits for Deuce to return safe from missions), Mare’s ending may require the same (since she lectures Deuce on throwing his life away and not running when he needs to), but I don’t know what Swig wants. I got Johnny (lots of money?), Deadeye (I had one of every weapon and frequent upgrades), Tessa (lots of defense mods and skills), and Efreeti (kicked lots of ass on Hard mode).
