A battle buck building should be expensive to balance things, but 100K coins is something I would be willing to pay for a building that generates 1 BB every 23 hours.
1/5 due to sheer difficulty. I died 5 times in the first 2 minutes. And the part where you can't go through the sides of blocks is just lame - you can go through the bottom, why not the sides?
My earlier message: " I ran a leak detector over it and any regular, long time plays will cause flash to crash due to a lack of memory."
I've pinpointed these leaks to the party menu - repeated opening and closing of the party menu will cause memory leaks and eventually a crash. I've notified the developers of this.
Bit too easy. I just hit level 6 and am at 108K... still no real sign of "in danger". The time you have when the stack reaches the top allows you to clear half the playing field - then you switch out the top pearl, it slides up and you get another 5-7 secs to clear the field. The goal becomes not to keep an even level, but to keep it as unbalanced as possible: you want 1 stack that reaches all the way to the top in the middle, and some debris on the side. That's my strategy.
... Why do the prices of the upgrades suddenly shift a tier after a field was cleared?
I wanted to research something, but all of a sudden it cost 2x as much AND other resources.
Actually, to equip items, I had arrange items first.
... I also spent 15 minutes setting up a build for my characters, only to be greeted with "this is the end".
I want to play this game, but each time I level up and get to spend a skill point I'm like "oh yeah... I don't know what these do" - and I can't stand it! It's a massively glaring flaw for me.
People - Please note that if you have issues with arena mode, just go to the second area of Blade's edge, then go back to the first area of blade's edge. You'll find low level boars there.
I spent the last... 4 days debugging this game. I don't know why. Probably because I like this game... a lot. Now that it's done, and all (well, good luck finding one) the bugs are out, I feel bored. I hope to see this winning the contest - it would be a great result.
Lag issue update! I'm bugtesting v1.3, and I don't have any memory leakage anymore. Of course, it still has it's bugs here and there (Did you know you can use mana-restoring items as a barbarian? You'll get rage from it. Try it. Place the item in your action bar and then use the hotkey. Instant full rage! Yay!), but finally, the fix is on the way! Hurray!
The game freezing bug after you kill something has been fixed in the debug version.
The memory leak from battles hasn't been fixed yet in the debug version.
The lag fixes are being put into place - I'm bugtesting a version that no longer leaks memory from your inventory! Here's hoping we'll be able to release Episode 2 without all these issues.
The cause of the lag is being identified as we speak - presumably, it has to do with event listeners not being removed, causing certain objects not to be deleted...
Update on the lag thing:
Quickly opening and closing inventory and/or bags causes leakage. (~1.5 MB each time)
Opening the key bindings causes leakage (~0.6 MB each time)
Loading your game causes leakage (~1.7 MB each time)
... Stay tuned for more info - I'm also PM'ing this stuff to the developer, who will hopefully be able to fix these things for us!
I'm looking into the slowdown issues for the developer - it seems everytime you open your inventory and close it, you leak a bit of memory. ... Loot enough items, and the game starts acting slow.
