I was a big fan of the last Shop Empire game, but this one is kind of tiresome! I find it quite hard to earn money and achievements! Thieves steal lots of money at first, booths cost a lot and it's hard to chose the right stores!
I just had 11 failed morale boost during a boss battle! This really, really sucks hard! Nearly 3k of honour wasted! And the worst thing is that it doesn't even say that a morale boost *can* fail before you click the button!
It's weird how on the one hand the game asks you to PSW all the time, but seriously, why would I spend money to buy diamonds, if I have to fear that the 10-diamond-morale-boost will fail? Or why would I pay for an extra pick at the tavern if I know from experience that I would only get a low rank card anyway? The makers of this game are not only impudent, but apparently also not very smart...
3. Why do bosses only appear at times that suit players in the US? I play from Europe and whenever I check the times when the bosses appear, it turns out that it's usually at night or early in the morning.
4. Why is it so damn hard to gain money? I'm ALWAYS broke! I kinda manage to gain enough ressources and stuff, but money is a real problem! And yeah, sure, I know, you probably want people to buy in-game-money with kreds, but your stuff is so ridiculously expensive that I REFUSE to afford it! Wanting to earn money with your game is fine, but making people broke isn't! Money transactions should be used to expand the game for those willing to pay and not make it suck less than for everyone else...
I really love Tower Defense and combining it with a browser game is a nice idea, too, but the game has some MAJOR drawbacks!!!
1. I need lots of dark soul crystals to upgrade stuff, but I only get 1 every 70 hours or so from the fighting pit! How on earth am I ever supposed to upgrade everything??
2. I don't get it: I completed ALL daily tasks, but I still don't have enough vigilance to open the biggest chest?! How am I supposed to gain another 20?
I don't really get the thing with the costumes. Is there a bonus when I wear the complete attire of a character? It feels as if there isn't, so why does the game encourage me to do so, if wearing mixed outfits proves to be more powerful?
small suggestion: I would change the hockey, film, bank and oil icons. All other icons are colourful but these four aren't. They DO get brighter when you are able to buy more of them, but sometimes you don't realise it at first, because they are all still monochrome compared to the other icons.
Dear Kongregate Team, you may want to reconsider the criteria by which you choose whether a badge is easy or medium or hard. I just earned easy and medium in one single run and it did't even take me half a cup of coffee to do it (and we're talking morning coffee here since I literally just got out of bed, it's not the kind of late night coffee to keep me awake and playing for another few hours...). On the other hand there are certain hard badges that I've been working on for months and months and I still don't have them, which makes me wonder whether an impossible badge would have been adequate...?
I like the idea behind the game, but it's wayyyyy too short! There should be more levels where you need to time the moment where you build something (like in the last level). And to make this more manageable: Hotkeys instead of drag/drop!
Basically it's a pretty fun game, I keep it running a lot in the background and come back to it every now and then.
BUT: What really annoys me is that there are some little weaknesses that could be fixed SO EASILY, but apparently the developers don't see the necessity!
How comes that a person who wants to sell me something also says "I hope you get it in stock soon" if I don't want it? How comes a person tells me "That's exactly what I was looking for" even though I suggested something entirely different? How comes the person walking around in the shop has differently coloured clothes than the avatar?
Come on, add a few more dialogue options and some differently coloured avatars! Especially since there are is so much buyable content! Why would I pay for a game whose creators are too lazy to fix even minor stuff like that?!
It's weird, judging from the higher amount of points you get, "armored only" mode is supposed to be more difficult. But on several levels I used that mode because I couldn't beat it on normal.... et voilà! I think it's easier without swarm and giants...
I really like the game, and that's the problem! Way too short, I played it through in less than an afternoon :-( Is there some way to replay it and have... I don't know, some changes? different trading options?
It's kind of a let-down that the "Kingdom: Rushed Badge" is *only* a hard badge. I've been at it for ages and still don't have it... I must be doing something wrong :-(
But apart from that a great game!! (which is also why I don't really mind the badge taking so long)
