Found this site following a link from Protector. I still think the first one is the best, although when I play it I miss some of the more interesting level ups and skills from the later ones. Think 3 could be insanely good if they made you get like 10x xp and like 4x gold. I like the achievements that give cool little bonuses in it, if they fix the rest of that game I forsee losing a weekend at some point. I’m still sad that Towering Forever never got a single badge, I got every single achievement for that game because I liked it so much. I guess I’m kind of an oddball; I can’t stand the Sonnys or the Gemcrafts. They just don’t hold my interest…. I guess I always want Sonny to be more RPG and less “respec to have the right skills for each annoying ass battle.” And Gemcraft… I like TDs, but not TDs that are that heavily based on luck and that require you to not spend your resources to win the harder levels… why not just make those bosses correctly so they can be killed the first time? That design choice makes it so that if you aren’t lucky enough to get a good purple gem you are probably in a lot of trouble, which is REALLY frustrating to me. I hate it when people say “could you do it better?” as a response to criticism. That logic taken to the extreme would suggest to me that if there was a plane crash due to faulty equipment or a design flaw, the people responsible for that fatal error should be able to get off without any criticism from anyone who does not have the expertise create and assemble a plane on their own. If you think about it, they are arguing against the basis of society as we know it, because they are arguing that you must be capable of providing any service or making any good to be able to hold any standards to that service or good. By that logic, no one should ever specialize, or have one specific job, because they have to know how to do everything that they rely on. Therefore, by their logic, there is no reason for people to band together into large groups aside from for social interaction, because everyone must be completely autonomous. It’s truly absurd.
