They are unlocked as drop in upgrades. They are more likely to appear in survival and multiplayer modes.

Not a game. As far a simulation goes, there is no collision detection, so one of the "planets" keeps getting stuck inside of the sun. The planets also don't appear to gravitationally attract each other, and the scales are way off! For a sun of that size, the planets shouldn't even be on the screen.

:) Just FYI, this game is still under construction, for anyone who hasn't noticed. You can try to play it, but it will most likely just be frustrating.

Sorry mate. The game is minimally functional, I just have it up here so i can iron out some bugs with the multi player interaction. Even if you could get into a round, it wouldn't do much good for you right now. Check back in a week or so and it should be more complete. I'll get an 'exit round' button up after it runs properly.
