the way i made the hittest for my game was by creating another object (a “shadow” of the actual one with the parts that you want hittable) and setting the alpha to zero, then superimposing it on the actual object. then, when doing the hittest, i used the shadow for the hittest and not the actual object. its not the best method, but it works for me, so ya :D
