@GenericJoe - artificial difficulty is when the things that make the game difficult are not related to the intended challenge of the game. This is genuine difficulty - the whole point of the game is to deal with the fast movement and distracting visuals.

@Muuki - it says right there: 2,569 awarded.

For level 8, all non-empty test cases have an odd number of characters, which enables you to earn 20-pts for a solution which fails on even-length inputs. (Such a solution exists -- 10 boxes, 89 steps)

It'd be nice if you showed a "dependency graph" of which levels affected which other levels.

Has anyone done Aug. 22 with no drones and no moving the base? I haven't been able to yet.
Play Creeper World: Evermore Creeper World: Evermore May. 07, 2012
Finally beat May 7 without moving the base! I feel like I should get a medal, that was really tough.

This game was way too easy and never required any strategy or skill. Also, I ended up spending a lot of my time walking back and forth, which gets old pretty quickly. The pixely art style is kind of cute but not particularly impressive. In summary, this seems to be a less-fun version of existing mining games. If you're going to re-use an old game concept, you should try to build on it or add something new to make it worthwhile.

Somewhat original. 3/5

Well, it was a bit amusing as a parody. I'll give it an extra star for that. 2/5.

The problem with these "story" games is that the creator is never smart enough to write a good story.
Play Cactus McCoy Cactus McCoy Apr. 19, 2012
Fun, considerably harder than Cactus McCoy 2.

I always end up continually starving, but I never want to stop expanding for long enough to solve the energy deficit. Very Malthusian.
Play Kingdom Rush Kingdom Rush Jan. 27, 2012
Nice graphics style, the elements are in harmony with each other. I enjoyed the strategy element also. 5/5.
Play Bard's Apprentice Bard's Apprentice Jan. 15, 2012
Looks fun, but it just starting lagging so much that I had to stop playing. Add a "disable fancy graphics" option please. And you might want to look back over your code and figure out what you messed up to make it so inefficient and CPU-intensive.
Play Shoot Pixels Shoot Pixels Jan. 15, 2012
Poorly-done graphics style.

Boring
Play Midas Midas Jan. 10, 2012
These story/allegory games are usually really lame but this one didn't overdo it too much with the text, and the gameplay was actually pretty fun. The minimalistic art worked well also. Nice job.

Well, there's a lot to complain about in this game. I didn't like the frequent blind jumps/drops. It would be nice if there were a way to scroll the screen a bit farther in a given direction. I would also have liked the ability to attack enemies coming from below you. Sometimes the backgrounds, platforms, and enemies blended together too much - I would have liked a greater amount of contrast between different layers. The game started to get really frustrating in the last couple of levels because of undodgeable attacks and also the overly high enemy health. And in general, I would've liked a bit more story and exploration and less grinding and repetitious button-mashing. But a good effort, despite the many flaws. 3/5.

My guess is that people who think this is really deep and complex don't read books very much.
Play Creeper World 2: Academy Creeper World 2: Academy Jan. 02, 2012
My usual strategy is to march in Roman Army-style with a ridiculously huge amount of units, and just overpower the heck out of everything.
