I am Ratatöskr (“drilling tooth”, sometimes anglicized Ratatosk). I am a red squirrel who runs up and down the word tree, Yggdrasil, with messages and gossip. In particular I ferry insults between the eagle at the top of Yggdrasill, and the dragon Níðhöggr beneath its roots.
