@rev0408 actually there is a horror movie (i forget the name) where the black guy comes out alive...him and a chick...the nerdy guy (who was also the drunk and cynical and the one that knows going on guy...it was actually a good combo for him lol) dies though, but then he came back as a ghost and save the black guy...I just remember the black guy going "You don't wanna kill me, I WAS ADOPTED!!!!!"...laughed so hard.
I'm 19, and grew up playing games on an N64. Had a few games that I literally couldn't play cause they were "so hard" to me back then, so I would watch my mom play and then try to do it. I remember the feeling of accomplishment when I first started being able to do good in those games. I think there need to be more games like this one, and while I agree it is hard, I don't get as mad at this game as I used to get at those old games (oh I've also played some NES and SNES games too so I know about how hard those can be). Maybe it's because I'm not that far in it or maybe playing Demon Souls and Dark Souls (2 of the hardest games of this era I'm gonna say) improved my patience, anyway great game like always, keep up the good work.
@doomdwarf59 You probably haven't played any Final Fantasy games if you didn't know Pheonix Downs/Pinions (and maybe healing magic too) would damage a zombie...it's an old Final Fantasy trick that admittedly I think I learned from a walkthrough to I think FFX so maybe you did play them but just didn't experiment.
First off, great game so far, haven't played much but I have a good feeling I'm gonna love it, just had to comment that I had a mini fanboy freakout when I got the "Push the button, Frank!" achievement...for those that don't know, it's a Mystery Science Theater 3000 reference, I would explain it more, but I suggest watching an episode of it instead to fully understand the reference, it'll be worth the time, trust me.
Not sure if I glitched or something, but the last laser in the game didn't hurt me...then again it would make sense since the lasers represented personal problems, and in "the meadow" you are in a state where nothing really bothers you, if the second thing was the intention, nice detail, just like Jack's stuttering...kinda wish I could've chosen the left path at the end though lol.
Loved the first game, love this one even more. I like how instead of just maps you find treasures at the end of each level, also it's great that you can upgrade your health and defense on this one, and not just offensive skills. Seems a little bit of a loss that enemies will fly away (launch) after juggling them for 5 hits, but then again I'm only saying that cause I remember just beating the absolute shit out of enemies for money, mostly cause I sucked at the challenges near the end on the first one. I Also enjoy how the checkpoints will recharge your health...one question though, why is he still a cactus? Though that'll probably be answered later xD.
To people who think this might be horrible, in that you are killing people just to get a prize. Note that these are prisoners, and they are trying to kill you as well, it's more self defense than anything else
