Your comment on M&B2 help me so much! I am now getting extremely far with this tactic. Some advice for you: use your tactic, but get very close to the enemy, inside enemy grenade range. Use lots to of barbed wire to hurt/slow incoming enemies, dot mines around field for insurance if any get through.
