Having only played this game for a few hours in the last few days I can honestly say I love it. I have played every CCG you can name under the sun in the last 20 years and am particularly impressed with the streamlined interface, being able to resume a game at any time. It is clear which games inspired it but this has a flavor all of its own. If it gets enough traction I can see this becoming one of the better online ccg's. Also impressive are the detailed "tips" available with every single card in the game. The interface is minimalist in nature but this just goes to demonstrate that this is amount the gameplay not the graphics. Keep up the great work I look forward to the end result. You need to advertise with CCG boards and forums to get the word out on this wonderful game.

I know what game you drew your inspiration from but I won't reveal it as the story for it is one of the best I have ever experienced. To name it would spoil it. Just wanted to say nice fan version of it, and good to find another person who appreciates such a great story :)

Let me comment on the energy system from a different perspective. 1. It won't go away no way positive of this. 2. It would be great if it could be tweaked or expanded to be more accomodating. I can tell you with absolute certainty though energy and "free to play" is here to stay. It has proven to be too successful a formula to ever go away. I hope that developers start to offer fair prices for the incentives (This one actually has very fair pricing which is great for packs at least) but rest assured this is a new dawn for better or worse in gaming. Blame farmville or anything that came before it. Energy is here to stay in all forms. Even the AAA Devs use it in their games now.

something was wrong in my last match. My respawn time was almost a minute from the very beginning of the match even though I barely died. In every match I had played previously it increased in 5-15 second increments with each death here I started at 45 seconds and went up from there. I dont know if it was a hack or glitch or what but look into it please.

Ok I have only played this for about 10 minutes so far, but I can say with absolute certainty. JOB WELL DONE! As someone who has played videogames since before he could even speak properly I love that you have taken every facet of all of your previous build ______ game to serve to customers to add in a clever unique way to do battle. In addition your menus are streamlined and easy to navigate. Actually even more so than most of the triple AAA development studios out there. Great Game!

quite confident we have a winner. Your camera angles are more advanced than most modern videogames from 10 years ago. This is an original concept. I could see this on just about any smart device within a week after you win this contest. Quite impressive. I am not a judge in the ludum game but I have played videogames since infancy through every era and platform you can name. This is going to win I am calling it now.

really cool idea with one big problem. These "proteins" never respawn. So you either get them and get the order right or you don't no real restart excluding restarting the game. Which is a problem.

Why does this character attack slower then a grandmother with arthritis fending off squirrels?

Hey! I take offense to that! My grandmother has arthritis and would surely attack faster than Hero! Now if you wanted a more serious answer: I usually don't do the art for the games I work on. When I do the Ludum Dare the art is the lowest priority when I only have 48 hours for the whole game and it takes me ages to get anything decent looking. Although I probably could have gotten away with cutting out that first frame of the attack animation and / or increasing the animation speed, but I didn't think of that in my last minutes of polishing the game.

I like the idea but the controls aren't quite as accurate as they could be. Kind of sluggish. I understand it was created in only 48 hours however and what you have accomplished in that time is significant. Would love to see what you could do with it with more time. It was already mentioned but I too see the inspiration behind E.V.O. well done.

Drus asked a few days ago if the game gets progressively harder. You said that it doesn't. It may not be intentional but I disagree. The first time I played I didn't have to jump until it got to version 3.0 which I got to in first playthrough. Now the virus moves quicker and eliminates more even from ver 1.0 have played about 10 times now and have yet to get past 2.0 now even with a better understanding of the controls. So though this may not be intentional I assure you something is progressively difficult about it.

Updated: Hi ShiranaiJittai, I found out that there is a bug in my code that does not reset the difficulty when you die. Will fix this in the next update. As a workaround, you could refresh the page and the difficulty will be reset. ================= Rest assured that I have already taken note of this. Since it is indeed random, I can try and place some safeguards as to not make the level too difficult. Again, I appreciate the comments.

downvote all you want won't stop me from ragging on a game with horrible controls since I am an actual reviewer and not some random guy on the internet. Who makes a game with issues and instead of fixing them makes them worse? Difficulty does not automatically make a good game. It works with a game like Demon's Souls but this is just difficult for the sake of it. There is no reason the controls should be so horrible and there is no reason why a developer should mess up their game even further with an update when it was already screwed up to begin with.

Decreased bounus from range upgrades. Now each point grants only 5% increase (down from 10%) - a fail on your part. The controls of the vehicles are far to inaccurate to justify this. The premise of the game is die 50 times killing a few things over and over again upgrade repeat. The other endless war games are decent this..isn't.

this is a really clever concept unfortunately quite often the controls do not register properly when trying to jump this may actually just be my keyboard though it makes some of the more difficult puzzles nigh impossible.
