My favorite "perk" by far is the cloaking. It's really useful to put it on, grab a sniper and just assassinate members of their team. It's also really useful for beating the alien commander the first time in the human campaign. I recommend that strategy to anyone having trouble with him!
It was done very well, and I was maniacally shouting to my opponent, and my sister in the other room questioned my mental sanity. Bravo, an amazing game all around. I have no complaints, but I think it would be cool and an added challenge if you had to keep happiness in the countries you control, like either have enough armies there to prevent uprisings or give them more freedom, power etc. It would be very tricky, but I think it would be cool to have citizen uprisings, returning their country to neutral.
There have been many Risk esque games on Kongregate in the past. When I saw this one the homepage, I figured it would be like many of them, but for some reason decided it was worth a shot. Boy was I right. This has to be the most wonderfully crafted Real Time Simulation game of its kind on Kongregate, or anywhere for that matter. With most games, I won't play through the first level because it's either A.) Too difficult without practice or B.) Too long to be willing to sit through. This game was none of those.
I agree with everyone about the message and how amazing that was, but the thing that nobody seems to be commenting about is the music. I thought that the piano track was simply beautiful. It really drove the game for me.
This game is very addictive, and what I like and dislike at the same time is that no matter how amazing your deck is, a level 1 opponent could potentially beat you. If your best cards are needed, and they're pounding you with damage before you can pull out your secret weapon(s), then you can lose and be sent into a fit of nerd rage. And then play again because it's just so darn addictive.
For everyone complaining about sticking keys, it's a Kongregate thing. You can either view the page in administrative mode. (Right click your browser shortcut and click view as administrator) or go to your internet options and disable safe mode. This should fix this game and all the rest of the games that stick on Kongregate. Hope this helped!
Great game! The game is beatable, but pretty tricky at times. I love how the AI does different things every time you play a level, so you have to think on your toes to beat it. Tip: The last level is pretty hard, start by placing charges on walls behind enemies and killing them without risk, make extra care to get rid of the grenade launchers. Then start with the bottom room and progress to the right. Once you've got your girlfriend (and preferrably killed the grenade launchers) it'll be a piece of cake winnable with your trusty machinegun. Hope that helped!
