when you have placed the acorn, Now have Reemus stand in front of the left-most hole in the middle screen's tree, Leave the screen and come back so the squirrel reappears. With the squirrel in hand, walk to the left-most point of the cliff. with this you can't get the bugs. + so everyone can see
