lol, I’m actually a bit surprised the Orb are blocked anywhere, that’s disgraceful. Some dude in Ant Hill still really likes them – I have to confess I gave up on them around 2000, but most of their stuff before that is neat. This album reached number 1 when it was released in 1992, which seems unlikely these days (the use of helicopter samples as percussion still delights me)
Oh, and it’s worth checking out their debut album too, as it’s even more Enigma-ey. “Spanish Castles in Space” is possibly my favourite ambient track of all time, it’s like a terribly stifling daydream. In a good way! And “Perpetual Dawn” is still enormously entertaining

The Orb – U.F Orb isn’t available for me… The debut album link worked – I’m really enjoying what I’m listening. Really hard to name the genre of their music, it’s nice though.

and I found this on vinyl in a shop called Knees, and it remains one of the most unlikely remix albums except maybe that Johnny Cash remix album tops it for weird, terrible and pointless
