I didn't want to put a lot of work in the Impossible badge to find a challenge, well, impossible to beat and have all the work go to trash. So I started with what appears to be the hardest challenge: 15.
I managed to beat it!!!! I think it just took me like 30 minutes. The final turns were epic. He summoned the 10 Attack monster and his initial attack was blocked by an Immunity. He had 15 HP left and 4 Elder but I had the Hound of Tindalos and 3 Arcane!!! GG
I won with 12 HP left and the round was rather short. I don't even know how I did it.
If it sounds stupid but it works, it ain't stupid: At the start of the game pause and use ALL of your energy to build nothing but bays and spawn bombers. They obliterate the base in SECONDS. Some times the enemy will survive the first wave of bombers but now with less defenses it won't last long. This doesn't work only for duel! In skirmish and even surround levels at least one enemy will be gone in an instant and then it's easier. In Defense levels I get gunships instead and I DO build one reactor and take from there.
It's starting to be less effective in later levels but so far I destroyed at least half of the game with this strategy.
How is it possible to win in Harder? At first I was being cautious but with that playstyle the zombie's growth completely outscales any progress you can possibly do. So I decided to simply do very risky things in the first days and if it didn't work out simply restart the game. I did get some really good starts this way but, still, sooner or later they get you!!! I had 2 police stations and 2 malls with a good quantity of soldiers and 2 consecutive hordes ruined my game. Very stressful. I beat Rebuild 2 in the hardest difficiulty but this one is too much.
OMG!!! In Alkubra the first merc I hired was called Hanri. I went through a lot with that guy, a looong time it was only he and I. Fast-forward, I'm in the third zone, found much better people available in bigger cities so I dismiss Hanri. More time passes and I get attacked by some Scavengers, win and capture ONE of them; check him out in the crew just out of curiosity... SAME HAIRCUT, SAME SKIN TONE, SAME BLUE EYES, but this guy is called Henri. I almost had a heart attack. I thought for a moment that my old time buddy Hanri had gone bad. I should visit Hanri soon.
Is it just me or is the AI ridiculously unresponsive? I'm shooting aliens in the back of the head barely half screen of distance and they don't even turn around to fight.
It makes the game completely boring! I was looking forward for this game, Raze I and II were amazing and was expecting so much from this one.
I already beat the human campaign and it was so damn easy because of this. I hate to say it, I thought I would love this game, but so far I'm finding it very boring and lower quality than Raze II. I will still play it a bit longer so hopefully something makes me change my mind.
Also about the lag. Well my gamed doesn't lag but everything is in a permanent slow motion.
All those Shingeki no kyojin references :)
The names Revaille, Dackerman, "Attackon giant" prize, rocket guys straight out says he wants to transform into a titan and after all that the Zombogod roar is probably a reference too.
Very good game. Enjoyed all of it 5/5
