Strengths: shooting and driving makes this a much more dynamic experience than the first game. The army being infected rather than shooting at you also helps with immersion, which was a distraction in the first game. Additional strengths: The game is solid, challenging, and rewards different playstyles. In addition to the normal game, there are at least six additional game modes, all of which seem playable and rewarding for the hardcore. Cons: The game suffers from occasional 'lock ups' where the car will screech off in one direction for no clear reason; sometimes zombies are 'invincible' -- not dying even if you drop a full clip into them [in the head]. Despite the bugs, this is easily one of the best games on kongregate.

I really wanted to like this game, but the fourth time I was redirected to bubble box I had no choice but to give a rather low rating...

I really like this game; I think it's pretty well set up and requires a surprising amount of estimation and foresight to keep going for very long. That being said, I am starting to wish there was an alternative game mode that would rely on blind luck a bit less. Since it's already somewhat modeled on tetris (more than any other game in my mind), I think one thing that would make a big difference would be if you could "save" a piece for later when it comes up. I think even a small change like that would add a lot more to the game. A big appeal of the game in its current form is its simplicity. I guess the current desire a lot of people have is to the want to nuke a block every now and then. I can understand this, and I'd say something like one nuke every 10000 points wouldn't be too unreasonable and would reward people for getting a really good streak going other than just points.

Krazy's Guide: This is just the method I used; I died my first two runs of the final level but when I did finally beat it, score of 100,000+ for an A+ rating easily breaking the 50,000 requirement. -This build focuses on the 50 mana spell Shadow Clone and the use of one companion, your Brute. The only purpose of the brute is to absorb some damage with armor and health, pretty much all the damage comes from you. -Buy: Focus: Chakra (to keep launching shadow clone during Daimyo fights), Focus Clones (to make them more useful), SoulDrinker, and Multistrike. On the last level, you might need "Elite Slayer" if you start having trouble. -For each Daimyo, go into the fight with 50+ energy ready. Launch Shadow Clones immediately and keep launching until victory. No idea if this works well on the hardest mode, but at least it will get you there with some amount of consistency! Good luck, have fun, + if you found this useful :)

I notice there's in-game achievements, but there's no list of what I earned at the end of the game and I generally am too busy killing zombies to really look while I'm playing.

I don't really see the point of defending edgebee here. Honestly this game isn't even really *that* deep of gameplay, even though it is enjoyable. Really if it wasn't for the day delay timer, most kongers would be done with this game in 1/20th the time. It plays like a single-player game, you pretty much have to play it like a single player game a lot of the time when you have upgrades that cost 15k of your OWN worker's time, so even the quasi guild-related or multiplayer elements you can hardly afford to implement when you have such a high demand on your improvement points for quest related activities. And having to refresh the game to play it if you ever wait for a new day to load is simply ridiculous and a shameless way to boost their "plays" count.

You can win as French on Insane with rush tactics: max out generals, combine armies and push immediately into Germany; clear germany, contain the english, then push down into the Moors and Spanish. On insane, I pretty much research nothing other than regular archers. Just pour everything into generals, keep the generals on the front line, trying to always have at least 2 out at a time. (Cautious Advance is a bad general ability, try to avoid ones with it.) You can usually win within 19-21 turns on insane.

Autoloss is pretty erratic, but doesn't always result in terrible failure for you. But if you do try to avoid using it, then the inability to control speed becomes a bit frustrating. I'd really like a "speed up" button for fights once you really get into it. Also, I keep having issues with the SFX dropping out. Some of the balance points in the upgrades are a bit odd also. Since a lot of my strategy tends to involve staggering archers so that militia + crossbow + archer + elite archer can all fire simultaneously, the "required" crossbowman upgrade that puts his range at the same range of the normal archer actually ends up being somewhat damaging to a lot of builds rather than beneficial. All in all though this game is fantastic and I'd really like to see some more tweaking/additional maps/bug fixes/achievements, or maybe even a sequel. I think beating the game on insane starting with France definitely would deserve a "Hard" achievement!

My guide to 2000 points on the $1,000 arcade (better than video): Get Umbrella, Sugar Rocket, 4 ranks fuel, 2 ranks Ramp Length, 2 ranks Ramp Height. (Have already maxed out the relevant bonuses in the Bonus Shop.) Adjust your launch ramp so that it launches you at around a 5 degree resist angle, and then adjust to 0 resist almost immediately. You should retain elevation at about 5'. Use the thrusters whenever your speed drops to 15 to get you back to 20 but below the 30 redzone. You should be able to get 2k points using this method. + if this helps you.

For some reason, it seems that if you push ahead with one character to the exit, then use move all quickly + end turn, the game sort of breaks... either the priestess just starts running in place and can't be selected, or the entire party just stops responding to anything.
