Most of his IQ comes from reading, but Jerome gets up close to some animals to learn about them. Jerome only hurts animals if he needs to defend himself from a creature that will certainly attack him, so he tries to find animals that are already dead to eat. Currently, Jerome is dying due to falling out of a tree almost 900 feet tall when his arm was pierced by multiple porcupine quills, which got infected.
